I would like to embrace our international followers and let them skip the inconvience of google translate this awaited blogg-post so as you might have noticed by now I am writing in swenglish.
Soo..
The trip started a beautiful swedish fall morning at Linköping international airport where we, me and Sophia, met up with Marika and Arvid. After a nice smooth flight we arrived at Amsterdam and after a quick transfer we were on our way to the first stop in the land of free and home of the brave. New York!
TSA is kind of a shitty company and our passage through customs took forever for everyone except for me since my appearance is of law abiding citizen while the others look like some kind of terrorists. Especially Sophia who tried to do a hostile intake of the country but she was harshly stopped by a nice TSA employee. "Get back in line, SIR" this was the first of two times Sophia would be called sir.
But eventually we were all let in. We grabbed a cab a which brought us to the hotel. The hotel was pretty nice but very simple. We stayed two nights and everyone slept well except for Marika who had trouble adjusting to sleeping in a bed with someone. She took the somekind of spectacular decision to sleep in the bathtub. True story folks! Two nights in the bathtub but she looked wellrested and nice as always.
We divided up in pairs and did NY or the big orange or apple or somekind of fruit separetly. Me and Sophia walked like maniacs all days. But I got me energilevels high by a frequent intake of burgers, beers and bloody marys. Life is good and I once again realize I am borned in the wrong country. In Sweden one of ten bartenders are able to serve a bloody mary and they almost always tastes like hell. But here everyone can do them and in one bar we got a bloody-mary-menue. "A bloody Mary, please" "which one" I was so happy I almost wanted to cry, yes the alcohol in my blood might have made me more sensitive but still I was very happy about the fact that my two nutrition loves of my life, hamburges and bloody mary fused toghether in to a great mix of happiness in every bar we entered.
Arvid and Marika did alot of shopping and sightseeing on there own. Here is a mix of photos of this wonderful city.
After two days packed with fun and action we countinued our journey to Tampa. We got our Mustang and started our drive to Cory Lake. We almost died a couple of times and couldn´t find our way this year either so it wasn´t an atmosphere of all love in the car after a while.
Finally there, Olle had fallen a sleep in chair waiting for us a couple of hours. Carina and Fredrik was away on a trip but Olle was a great host and soon we were all happy again. Tired but happy! Yes the alcohol in our blood might have been a reason of our fast recovery from the drive from hell.
Next day Carina came back and the shopping de luxe could finally start.
The day after that me and Sophia went on a trip in the trip.
The weather treated us like heroes as you can see in the picture.

We couldn´t resist breaking the law. The truth is that we didn´t know we were breaking the law. Apparently you can´t drink in the passenger seat while the car is moving. Crazy country! You can drive drunk but not have a open bottle of wine in the car.
